Nice little tale well worth reading. Some people have pointed out inaccuracies, and indeed some things surprised me - the use of spectacles (though I found indeed they were indeed already used at this time, though I doubt a alchemists son could get by them so easily) and wheelchairs (apparently not invented yet, not by far) and the fact a bellfounders daughter would be able to read, own book/5.

I have been doing the 'field work' surveying bells in the county of Cheshire for a number of years, with the intention of publishing a new 'Bells of Cheshire' book.
